Napier Faculty

The Napier Faculty is named after John Napier (1550-1617), a Scottish mathematician who invented Napier’s Bones, a tool to make multiplication simpler long before calculators. We aim to share Napier’s enterprising spirit, his faith in education and his will to make a positive impact on the world around him.

Subject areas within the Napier Faculty are Maths, Geography, History and Religious Studies. All subjects on the curriculum are taught in both Key Stages. Our aim is simple: to ensure students make progress academically and pastorally in line with the academy motto ‘Achievement is Success’. Maximum effort is made to ensure students are supported to raise their attainment. As a pastoral team, we thrive on the spirit of healthy competition, both within the faculty and across the academy.
