Enterprise, Well-Being and Achievement
The Academy is one of the most modern and best equipped buildings in London, and we take great pride in our facilities, and a learning environment in which our learners can learn and our teachers can teach.
Students follow the same subjects throughout Key Stage 3 and are then able to choose which subjects to study in Key Stage 4.
In Key Stage 3 students have lessons in:

Functional Skills |
Our aim is to provide the highest quality teaching in a first rate learning environment. Teachers are highly trained and use tried and tested techniques as well as more innovative methods to promote the most effective learning.
Learning in each subject is broken down into shorter term motivating modules lasting approximately six weeks each. Students and parents receive very regular feedback on how well students are doing and what they need to do to improve their work further. The progress of each student will be individually tracked and monitored. Academy staff intervene if a student needs assistance and involve parents appropriately.
Homework is set according to departmental policy. All homework is recorded in the students’ planners and is expected to be handed in by the date set. Homework timetables can be found in students’ planners.

The Academy is a specialist Enterprise and Sport Academy. This means that while offering a broad and balanced curriculum with a full range of subjects, there is a distinct emphasis on sport and enterprise across the curriculum. This involves actively developing the skills of self presentation, initiative taking, creative problem solving, decision making, team working and interpersonal skills in a variety of contexts and with a range of adults from industry and the community, so building self-esteem and confidence.
The Academy enjoys state-of-the-art ICT facilities and the use of ICT in every aspect of learning. Learning outside site boundaries and the normal timetabled day is a key feature of the curriculum. A termly rewards trip is paid for by the Academy for the students who have excellent: attendance, punctuality, behaviour and work ethic.
