Truancy Bus

Medical Appointments
Whenever possible, the Academy asks that medical appointments be made out of school hours. If this is unavoidable, proof of the appointment will be required (appointment card/letter) otherwise it is very probable that your child will be given a late detention. Thank you for your continued support and co-operation.
Punctuality
Parent/carers should be aware that students can accumulate late marks, not just for arriving late at the Academy in the morning, but also being late for lesson registration.
Persistent Absence
Read the Government's guidance on Persistent Absence (PA) and about the decision to class students with 15% or greater absence in an Academic Year as a PA student.
