Languages Week 2026

Languages Week 2026 celebrated the many languages and cultures within our school community. Through the theme ''Lanuguages Unite'', students explored how language helps us connect, understand different perspectives and engage with the wider world.

Highlights

• Destination X: A whole‑school mystery location competition that sparked curiosity and teamwork.
• Year 7 Treasure Hunt: An exciting adventure that encouraged problem‑solving and collaboration.
• Poster Competition: Creative displays that showcased students’ ideas about language and culture.

Lunchtime Clubs

During the week, clubs celebrated home languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, Urdu and Tamil, giving students a chance to share their heritage.

Linguistic Diversity

Over fifty languages were spoken across the academy, reflecting our rich linguistic community.
