Harris Merton is in the Top 10% of Schools in the Country for Progress

Congratulations to our GCSE students (and the school community) on another set of excellent results!

Harris Academy Merton has seen another year of outstanding GCSE results, as shown by the published national league tables.

Progress 8 Score

The academic progress that pupils make from the end of key stage 2 to the end of key stage 4. This is based on 8 qualifications.

The banding for Harris Merton is ‘well above average’.

The below Progress 8 score is for academic year 2023/24 as the DFE cannot calculate Progress 8 scores for this academic year 2024/25. This is because there is no KS2 assessment data available to calculate the baseline for Progress 8 for these years due to Covid-19 disruption. 

Harris Merton is ranked in the top 10% of schools in the country for progress.

Attainment 8

Schools get a score based on how well pupils have performed in up to 8 qualifications.

Harris Academy Merton is ranked in the top 20% of schools in the country for attainment, this ranking contains all schools including independent schools and schools that select their students on entry in to Year 7.

Grade 5 or Above in English & Maths GCSEs

This tells you the percentage of pupils who achieved grade 5 or above in English and maths GCSEs.

Harris Academy Merton is ranked in the top 20% of schools in the country for English and Maths grade 9-5 achievement, this ranking contains all schools including independent schools and schools that select their students on entry into Year 7.

EBACC Average Point Score

The EBACC average points score calculates a pupil's average point scores across the 5 pillars of the English Baccalaureate.

Harris Academy is ranked in the top 20% of schools in the country for EBACC grade 9-5 achievement.

Disadvantaged Pupils

Disadvantaged pupils are those who were eligible for free school meals at any time during the last 6 years and children looked after (in the care of the local authority for a day or more or who have been adopted from care).

Harris Academy Merton is ranked in the top 5% of schools in the country for Disadvantaged Pupil attainment.

Summer 2025

Year 11 students from Summer 2025 who do not attend our HAM Sixth form can collect their certificates from Visitors reception, term time only, between 8am to 4pm, remember to bring ID with you. 

Year 11 students from Summer 2025 who attend HAM Sixth form; your certificates will be delivered during tutor time by the sixth form team. 

Year 13 students from Summer 2025 can collect their certificates from Visitors reception, term time only, between 8am to 4pm, remember to bring ID with you.

We are unable to send certificates by post as they must be signed for.

After 13th February 2027, you will have to contact the exam boards directly to get copies of your certificates as we will be returning the certificates after this date (there is normally a charge from the exam boards for this).
