The Duke of Edinburgh
As part of our commitment to developing resilient, ambitious young people, we offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award to students in Year 9. This nationally recognised programme encourages students to challenge themselves, build confidence and develop essential life skills such as teamwork, perseverance and self‑belief. Valued by employers, colleges and universities, the DofE Award supports our students in standing out at key transition points and prepares them for success beyond the classroom.

We are proud to offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award to students in Year 9 students. Participation in the programme requires commitment, perseverance and a willingness to engage fully in activities beyond the classroom.
To achieve the Bronze Award, participants complete four key sections:
- Skills
- Volunteering
- Physical
- Expedition
We recognise that every student’s DofE journey is unique. The programme allows students to tailor activities to their interests and strengths, and we are committed to providing guidance and support to ensure all participants are able to work towards completing the Award. Suggested activities for each section are available in the PDF below.
