Harris Academy Merton Girls Reach Finals of Jr NBA Schools' Tournament

Harris Academy Merton Students Excel in Jr NBA 3v3 Tournament

Our students have made us incredibly proud by reaching the finals of the Jr NBA 3v3 basketball tournament. The girls took part in the 'Her Time To Play' coaching clinic in January, which gave them the confidence to enter the competition.

The Jr NBA 3v3 program is a joint initiative between the NBA and London Marathon Events, launched in 2025. The program aims to increase participation in 3v3 basketball among UK schools. This year, 174 schools from across London took part, with 349 teams competing for a spot in the tournament.

Our girls were among the top 32 teams to qualify for the tournament. Although they narrowly missed out on the Grand Finals at Trafalgar Square, this achievement is a testament to their hard work and dedication to basketball.
