We were delighted to host the BBC Bitesize Careers Tour this term! Students explored a wide range of sectors, skills and pathways for life after school, hearing from inspiring speakers and Radio 1 Extra presenter Fee Mak. A brilliant, engaging experience for all! 🎓✨

In year 7 students will begin to develop the key skills which will be assessed in key stage 3 and beyond. We assess students regularly as they work towards answering enquiry questions. They will be assessed formally twice per year where we are assessing students: historical knowledge, chronological understanding, ability to assess interpretations and historical writing.

Assessment

Year 10 students will begin working towards the Edexcel GCSE history specification. Students will be formatively assessed with regular exam-style questions within each unit. They will also sit practice exams at two points over the course of the academic year.

Assessment

Students will be examined in Mock Exams on both this years’ work (Paper 3), as well as the Year 12 content (Paper 1 and 2). They will also be receiving exam based homework that will be marked. Students will also have an internal coursework assignment due worth 20% of their A Level.
